Understand a concept in Bodybuilding that Diuretic intake has no protocol and Consuming Diuretic is not a compulsion when it comes to last week of prep, the Diuretic which consumed by Bodybuilders is not potassium sparring , Which means the Diuretic causes a flush out and excretion of potassium which lowers the potassium and causes hypokalemia which is low level of potassium, potassium is important in muscular contractions and especially for Cardiac muscle contractions when level of potassium are drop severely this causes cramps and also it will cause a disturbance in cardiac muscle contractions which would lead to arrhythmia or can easily cause a heart attack now the problem is in such condition bodybuilders are suggested to take potassium chloride syrups which is again dangerous which would severly and rapidly increase the potassium levels and can cause rapid beating of Heart and leads to arrhythmia and again may cause cardiac arrest due to abnormal beating, so my opinion is don’t purposely flushout potassium in the name of water loss by taking excess Diuretic , waterloss also causes Mineral loss ……..
